DR. BARBARA BOLLIER

A LEADER FOR KANSAS

Barbara Bollier was raised in Fairway and Mission Hills, where she attended Kansas public schools. Bollier earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. In 1987, Bollier joined her father’s practice in Kansas City where she cared for Kansas families until she ran and was elected to the Kansas State House of Representatives in 2010. There, she worked across the aisle to improve the public schools, provide families with access to affordable healthcare, and balance the state budget. In 2016, she was elected to the Kansas State Senate, where she continued to fight for working families. In 2019, she called out Senate Republican leadership for blocking Medicaid expansion while rural hospitals struggled and closed their doors. She is running for Senate where she will continue to put politics aside and fight for Kansans.
