Melissa Hernandez
An Innovator for California
Melissa Hernandez’s path to public service is rooted in lived experience. The daughter of migrant farm workers, she grew up watching her parents work tirelessly to support her and her six siblings, an example that shaped her understanding of the American Dream. As a single mother of two, she put herself through college, earning a degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, and Administration from California State University.
Today, she serves her community in multiple leadership roles, bringing dedication and real world perspective to everything she does. Melissa Hernandez is ready to take that commitment to Congress and represent California’s 14th District. She is focused on tackling the issues that matter most, rising costs of living, including housing, childcare, and healthcare, and delivering solutions that make a meaningful difference for working families.
