Washington, D.C. - As part of its commitment to expanding Latino representation in Congress while defending the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, today CHC BOLD PAC is endorsing Annette Taddeo in Florida’s 27th District. BOLD PAC Chairman Ruben Gallego released the following statement on the endorsement:


“I’ve known Annette for years and have witnessed first hand the kind of public servant she is and the passion that has always driven her to represent her community. As a state legislator, Annette has fought hard to improve the quality of life of working Americans of all stripes in her district. As a Member of Congress, she will continue defending a woman’s right to choose and fighting to increase opportunities for American small businesses so they can create better paying jobs,” said ​​CHC BOLD PAC Chairman Ruben Gallego. “At BOLD PAC we are proud to support Annette Tadeo and look forward to working with her once she is sworn in as a Member of Congress.”

Annette Tadeo is the proud daughter of an American WWII fighter pilot. At the age of 17, Annette was forced to flee Colombia after her father had been kidnapped by a Marxist group funded by the Cuban Regime. In the wake of Hurricane Andrew, Annette moved from Alabama where she attended college, back to Florida to help her parents rebuild their lives. It was during those difficult months living in a motor home that she started her own business at the young age of twenty-two. 


In 2017, Annette became the first Latina Democrat elected to the State Senate in Florida history when she flipped a Senate seat held by a Republican. Since then, she has spent her career fighting for core Democratic issues like a living wage for all Floridians, defending a woman’s right to make choices about her own body, economic growth through helping our small businesses, affordable healthcare for all Floridians, safe drinking water, and stronger and safer schools.


As a working mom, Annette lives in Miami with her husband Dr. Eric Goldstein and daughter Sofia — Living her American dream as a small business owner for nearly 30 years. Her business, LanguageSpeak, offers translations in more than 240 languages and has been named one of the Top 100 Small Businesses in Florida.

BOLD PAC is dedicated to increasing diversity in the House and Senate by getting more Latinos and Latinas elected. In 2020, BOLD PAC helped elect two new Latino Members to the House -- Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez, the first Latina to represent New Mexico’s 3rd district, and Congressman Ritchie Torres, the first openly LGBTQ+ Afro-Latino. Annette Tadeo es la  hija orgullosa de un piloto de combate estadounidense de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. A la edad de 17 años, Annette tuvo que huir de Colombia después de que su padre fuera secuestrado por un grupo marxista financiado por el régimen cubano. Después del huracán Andrew, Annette se mudó de Alabama, donde fue a la universidad, a Florida para ayudar a sus padres a reconstruir sus vidas. Fue durante esos meses difíciles viviendo en una casa rodante que comenzó su propio negocio a la temprana edad de veintidós años.
