Communications Fellow (Billingual)


CHC BOLD PAC is seeking a strategic, creative, and mission-driven individual who is passionate about electing Latinas and Latinos to Congress to join as a Communications Fellow. This six-month, part-time fellowship offers recent college graduates the opportunity to gain experience at the nexus of national politics, bilingual communications, and digital storytelling. Fellows will help power one of the most aggressive political communications and digital operations focused on Latino voters. This role is based in Washington, DC and includes access to high-level political training, mentorship, and networking opportunities across the progressive ecosystem.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:


Press & Messaging:

  • Assist with drafting press releases, media advisories, public statements, talking points, and op-eds.
  • Conduct media monitoring and develop daily press clips, with a focus on disinformation and MAGA threats.
  • Support the execution of earned media rollouts, Spanish-language press outreach, and reporter research.

Digital & Social Media:

  • Contribute to the BOLD Truth and Our Lucha War Room social video series
  • Generate ideas and create content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and bilingual reels
  • Monitor and maintain BOLD PAC’s digital platforms (website, Mailchimp, Twitter/X, Instagram)
  • Design graphics and support storytelling that is culturally resonant and targeted to swing voters


Rapid Response & Research:

  • Track news cycles, opposition narratives, and right-wing misinformation in both English and Spanish
  • Support briefing memo and war room content development
  • Conduct candidate, race, and district research for frontline and battlefield campaigns

Video Production:

  • Assist in video shooting, editing, and post-production of press and digital content
  • Help with teleprompter setup and editing workflows using programs such as Premiere and Final Cut


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree required (concentration in journalism, communications, or political science a plus)
  • Exceptional writing, research, and storytelling skills
  • Strong visual eye for design and layout (experience with Canva preferred)
  • Knowledge of Latino media landscape and Spanish-language fluency is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, Mailchimp, G Suite, WordPress, Excel
  • Prior experience in a campaign, newsroom, advocacy group, or Capitol Hill setting is a plus

PROGRAM DETAILS:


  • Duration: 6 months+
  • Hours: Part-time (32 hours/week)
  • Compensation: $2,200/month stipend plus $300/month healthcare stipend
  • Location: Washington, DC and Hybrid
  • Reports to: Chief Communications Officer
