Kathy Manning is an experienced leader who understands the importance of economic opportunity, good paying jobs, accessible and affordable health care.

Kathy Manning was raised in a blue collar family where she learned the value of community service. After graduating from Harvard University School of Law, Manning moved to her husband’s hometown of Greensboro North Carolina in 1987 where they raised their three children. Manning served as a partner for a major law firm for 16 years before starting her own small business. As a community leader, she worked with various non-profits such as United Way, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, the National Conference for Community Justice, and the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Recently, Manning served on the Bennett College Re-Engineering Committee, where she helped expand student services. Throughout her career, Manning has focused on providing school readiness programs, economic opportunities, and mortgage assistance for families. Shealso led the initiative to build the Greensboro Children’s Museum and the new Tanger Center for Performing Arts. Having a daughter with a chronic illness, Manning knows first hand the importance of having access to affordable and quality healthcare services.

 Manning is running to ensure that no family in our country is denied healthcare services due to pre-existing conditions, expand access to education opportunities, and establish economic growth so that every person has an opportunity to get good paying jobs and provide for their families.
