ABOUT

Lisa Ramirez

Democrat for Congress

Lisa D. Ramirez was born and raised in Southern California. As a daughter of an immigrant mother, Lisa has seen first hand the promise of America.

Lisa worked her way through school – starting at her family’s restaurant, El Pollo Loco, to waitressing through college and working full time through law school.

Lisa was the first person in her family to graduate college and began her legal career here in Orange County to fight for the promise of America.

As a mother, soccer coach, business leader, and attorney, Lisa knows the challenges we face are not answered by partisan talking points – she’s spent her career working for seniors struggling to access the benefits they’ve earned, small business owners buried in red tape, and survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

Now, Lisa is running for Congress in California’s 40th District to continue her life’s work. To stand up for those too often unheard. To fight for those who have been left behind and overlooked. In Congress, she’ll stand up to extreme agendas that cause chaos in our streets and tear families apart and take away medical care for those who need it most. And she’ll never stop fighting for the working class to ensure everyone can reach the American dream.

LISA RAMIREZ

A LEADER FOR CALIFORNIA

What makes America great are its principles of justice, democracy and freedom. What makes America great is its Constitution and the rule of law that ensures no one is above the law and that the legal system operates fairly and reliably.

But when people are pawns for the powerful instead of the power coming from the people, America no longer works.

Unfortunately, the systems of law created and designed to bring accountability, assurance and protection are no longer working.

A future where wages are liveable, where hard working families can not only keep up with the rate of inflation, but get ahead, a future where young people can have hope to afford a home, a future of safety and security, where we can trust those whose job it is to protect us, a future where we are not judged by the color of our skin but by our qualifications and character.

A future where regardless of natural origin, every hard working individual who positively contributes to the fabric of society can finally come out of the shadows and have a place at the table. A future where the only servants are those we elect. We need leaders who understand that public service is a duty, not a game. For me, it’s not about power. It’s always been about people. I’m Lisa Ramirez, candidate for Congress in California’s 40th District.
