Ahead of Special Election in TX-34, CHC BOLD PAC Chair Blasts QAnon Loving, Violence Inciting Republican Candidate Mayra Flores



Washington, D.C. - Today, CHC BOLD PAC Chairman Ruben Gallego issued the following statement lambasting Republican Congressional candidate Mayra Flores for justifying and inciting violent hate: 

 

“Mayra Flores is just the kind of QAnon loving and hate mongering Republican that BOLD PAC has been laser focused on defeating. The GOP freedom-hating machine is on the march and it needs to be stopped in its tracks. Whether it’s promoting the Big Lie or proudly boasting endorsements by self-proclaimed cop-killers, Mayra Flores has proven she cannot be trusted to stand up for American freedom,” said CHC BOLD PAC Chairman Ruben Gallego. “Texans and all Americans deserve to be represented in Congress by public servants that support our men and women in uniform, fight to preserve our freedoms, and denounce hate and violence in all its forms. Flores is simply not up to this task. That’s why we were so proud to support Dan Sanchez for the June 14th special election in Texas’ 34th district. Dan will fight to protect our freedoms, our voting rights, and promote safer and better schools for our kids.”

 

Mayra Flores has demonstrated that if elected, she will do what she has always done – abandon American freedom, democracy, and the men and women in the military and police who have fought to protect it. Look no further than her recent history of inciting violence, spreading lies and peddling conspiracy theories, and boasting endorsements by individuals bragging about violence against police. On June 14th, voters in TX-34 will decide who they want to send to Congress in a special election that will be more than just a ballot exercise. This will be a referendum between the vision of progress and protection of freedom versus the conspiracy, death and destruction promoted by Mayra Flores and Republican candidates all across the country. “Mayra Flores es el tipo de republicana que ama a QAnon y la incitación al odio que BOLD PAC se ha enfocado en derrotar. La maquinaria republicana que odia la libertad está en marcha y tenemos que detenerla ya. Ya sea promoviendo la Gran Mentira electoral o alardeando orgullosamente del respaldo de los asesinos de policías, Mayra Flores ha demostrado que no se puede confiar en ella para defender la libertad estadounidense”, dijo el presidente de CHC BOLD PAC, Rubén Gallego. “Los texanos y todos los estadounidenses merecen ser representados en el Congreso por servidores públicos que apoyen a nuestros hombres y mujeres uniformados, que luchen por preservar nuestras libertades y denuncien el odio y la violencia en todas sus formas.   • Afirmó que apoya a los cuerpos policiales y "se lo toma como algo personal cuando son atacados". ​​Pero, no solo difundió las mismas mentiras que incitaron la insurrección que dejó 5 policías muertos y más de 150 heridos, sino que también abrazó abiertamente el respaldo de Mike Mihalski, que tiene un historial de amenazas a la policía local y afirmó haber matado a un oficial de la policía de San Antonio.
