Sri Kulkarni
A LEADER FOR TEXAS
Sri Kulkarni was raised in Texas by an immigrant father and a mother with deep roots to Sam Houston and has dedicated his career to public service. Kulkarni graduated from UT-Austin and received his MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Kulkarni began his career as a U.S. Foreign Service Office. He served for 14 years in the Foreign Service, which included a fellowship advising Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand on foreign policy and defense issues. Kulkarni first ran for Congress in 2018, campaigning in sixteen languages across the district, expanding the electorate by tapping into the immigrant vote, and came within 14,000 votes of defeating Congressman Pete Olson. Kulkarni is facing Olson once again, and is committed to flipping the seat by continuing to build the electorate and run a grassroots campaign that is not beholden to corporate PAC money. Kulkarni remains committed to representing the entire district and making his campaign accessible to the community.
